GES Technology, Inc. was founded in 1986 by the current president of the company, Gary Slatt. The company got started by providing control integration and panel fabrication needs to local manufacturers. In 1991 GES became a subsidiary of the Edwin L. Heim Company.

As one of the largest electrical contractors in Central Pennsylvania, the Heim Company provides solid financial support to GES. As a result, GES is able to take on both large or small projects, while continuing to grow as a stable, innovative organization.
